My Sister’s Keeper is a story about Anna who is 13 years old, who wants to sue her parents to stop using her body parts for her sister who is suffering from acute leukemia.
Anna was born only because her sister Kate wanted a perfectly matching donor to fight her disease.Anna have spent her life, donating blood and bone marrow to Kate and is under pressure to give a kidney. Now Anna wants to fight for her body. so Anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable, a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves.
Anna, her mother, her father, Jesse her brother, her lawyer , all tell the story from their own point of view.It gives the reader a precise idea of what everyone is going through in their life.
Anna keeps on changing her mind most of the time during her lawsuit for the love for her family. Most of the time, the characters are wrestled with unanswerable moral questions.
Sara, Anna’s mother being a lawyer, represent herself for the lawsuit.
Warning: Story is so emotional and here I don’t want to give away the climax. I am sure you are going to wet your eyes at the end.
It ‘s a little dragging with all the irrelevant sub stories of some characters, but the ending is worth every page. 🙂
Enjoy Reading 🙂
I love this book. I was really disappointed with the movie and the alternate ending because I thought the book ending (perhaps a little far-fetched?) was amazing and really emotionally gripping. I have a huge Jodi Picoult book collection – she’s a great author!
I loved the book too. Luckily, I have not watched the movie 🙂
it is one creepy reason to give birth to a child!
This book looks so good, but I don’t know if I could read it as it seems so sad! Great review 🙂

Okay I need to read this. I always wanted to, but I was never sure if I would like it or not – to be honest I didn’t fully know what the story was about, but after reading this post you’ve convinced me to read it!
